1. Downloading the App

Option 1: Using the QR Code

• Scan your personal QR code printed on your Gastfreund marketing materials (e.g. Welcome Cards or card holders).
• After scanning, you will be directed to the web version of your Guest App at www.gastfreund.net/portal.
• The web portal is a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means your Guest App is accessible on any device and operating system through a web browser.
• Tap the menu icon in the top-right corner and scroll to the bottom of the menu. Select "App Download" to download the Gastfreund app from your device's app store.

Option 2: Directly from the App Store

• Open your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store).
• Search for "Guestfriend".
• Download the free app.

2. Setting Up the App

There are two ways to open your Guest App in the Gastfreund app. First, please allow the app to access your location. This permission is used to sort search results based on your distance.

Option 1: Automatic Setup via QR Code

• Open the app and select "Scan QR Code".
• Scan your personal QR code from your Gastfreund marketing materials (e.g. Welcome Cards or card holders).
• Your Guest App will be configured automatically.

Option 2: Manual Setup by Selecting Your Property

• Open the app and tap "Choose Accommodation".
• Select your property from the list or enter its name in the search field.
• Confirm your selection.
• You will then be taken directly to the home screen of your Guest App.
