Send your guests news via push notifications to provide them with information, offers and services they can use. Push notifications have a special feature: Guests don’t have to be in your Digital Guest Directory - notifications will pop up on the locked screen of their mobile device. Guests only need to download the Guestfriend app and select your hotel as their accommodation or mark it as favourite (“heart it”) to receive push notifications.
Although our tutorials are currently only available in German, you will see a screencast in the video showing the exact procedure.

How do I send news via push notifications?
♥ Login to the content management system (CMS) on intranet.gastfreund.net.
♥ Click on “News” in the menu.
♥ Create a message for your guests via the button “Create Notification”.
♥ A new page will open where you can fill in your contents.
♥ You will see a preview of your notification on the right side of your screen.
♥ Our recommendation: Add a photo or video to your notification - that way, your guests will find it even more interesting.
♥ Optionally, you can add a call or navigation button or a link to a website.
♥ Send your message immediately or choose “publish on” to select a date and time.
♥ New: Select recipient group. In the last step, determine your target group and distinguish between guests who have currently selected your digital guest directory and departing guests whose selection of your digital guest directory is already 3 weeks in the past.
♥ Done! It’s simple, isn’t it?
Our suggestion: Set up a recurring appointment in your calendar, e.g. Monday evening at 5 pm. At this time, you can plan your notifications for the entire week on a regular basis. It saves time and your guests are happy about your unique notifications!
